Biking in Ladakh, India

Those with a daring spirit can attempt riding up Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. An easier option would be to bike around the paradisiacal environs of the Pangong Tso and its stunning blue waters (you may remember this pristine lake from the superhit movie 3 Idiots). The lake is located about 225 kilometres from Leh, and since it can be a long drive, it’s a good idea to stay the night at one of the many glamping setups by its shores. Another biking spot that mustn’t be missed is Nubra Valley, where the serene ambience is complemented by native Bactrian (two-humped) camels, glacial rivers, and herds of grazing mountain goats to make you feel like you’re biking through heaven on earth!
